This Privacy Policy describes how KOLEKAR RAMESH KUMAR GOWTHAM ("Data Fiduciary") processes personal data when you use ForeverPartner in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), the Information Technology Act, 2000, and applicable rules.
1. Scope
This policy applies to personal data collected through our website, apps, support channels, and payment flows. It does not apply to third-party websites you reach via links.
2. Personal Data We Collect
- Identity & contact: name, email, mobile number, password hash, date of birth, gender.
- Matrimonial profile: religion, community, caste preferences, education, occupation, income band, location, photos, bio, family details, lifestyle fields.
- Preferences: partner criteria you set for matching and search.
- Activity: interests sent/received, profile views, shortlists, blocks, chat messages, tickets.
- Verification: government ID images/metadata where you opt in to ID verification.
- Payment: transaction IDs, plan purchased, amount — card/bank details are handled by payment processors, not stored by us in full.
- Technical: IP address, device/browser type, cookies, logs, approximate location from IP.
- Communications: support emails, WhatsApp or other channels if you contact us.
3. Sensitive and Special-Category Data
Matrimonial platforms necessarily process data that may be sensitive (e.g., religion, community, health/disability fields if provided, photographs, government ID). You provide this voluntarily to use matching services. We process it only for stated purposes and apply additional access controls where configured in your privacy settings.
4. Purposes and Legal Bases
- Account creation and authentication (contract / consent).
- Displaying your profile to other members per your visibility settings (contract / consent).
- Matching, search, recommendations, and compatibility features (contract / legitimate uses).
- Payments, invoicing, and fraud prevention (contract / legal obligation).
- Safety, moderation, abuse reports, and legal compliance (legitimate uses / legal obligation).
- Marketing emails or notifications only where you opt in or as permitted by law (consent).
- Analytics to improve the Platform where enabled in settings (consent where required).
6. Cross-Border Transfers
Our hosting or processors may process data outside India. Where required, we implement contractual safeguards and transfers consistent with DPDP Act requirements.
7. Retention
- Active account data: retained while your account is active and as needed to provide services.
- Deleted accounts: profile removed or anonymised within a reasonable period, except data we must retain for law, tax, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution (typically up to 3–7 years where required).
- Chat and logs: retained for operational and safety periods, then deleted or aggregated.
- ID verification documents: retained only as long as needed for verification and legal compliance, then deleted or minimised.
8. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures including access controls, encryption in transit, and secure development practices. No system is completely secure; report suspected breaches to forever.partner.team@gmail.com.
9. Your Rights (DPDP Act)
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Access and obtain a copy of your personal data.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data via profile settings or support.
- Erase data when no longer necessary (subject to legal retention).
- Withdraw consent for consent-based processing (may limit features).
- Nominate another individual to exercise rights in the event of death or incapacity (as per DPDP rules).
- Grievance redressal via our Grievance Officer (see Grievance Redressal Policy).
10. Children
The Platform is not directed to persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us for deletion.
12. Automated Processing
We may use automated logic to rank matches, suggest profiles, or detect abuse. These do not produce legal effects without human review. You may contact us for information about significant automated processing affecting you.
13. Data Breach
If a personal data breach is likely to harm you, we will notify the Data Protection Board and affected users as required by law.
14. Changes
We will post updates with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or email where appropriate.
